About Daniel K. Printz

Let’s deal with your basic questions: “Does this lawyer know what he’s doing?” and “Can he really help me?”

The answers are: Yes, and Yes.

Here’s why:

Since 2007, I have served as an adjunct faculty member in the University of San Diego’s intensive Paralegal Program, teaching “Estates, Wills and Trusts.” This means I train San Diego’s top paralegals in the ins and outs of the California Probate Code. Most of my students know nothing about trusts when they come in; I make sure they know everything they need to know when they leave.

I take the same care with my clients to make sure that you understand everything you need to know, using plain English instead of legalese. Whether you want to set up a trust for your estate plan, a conservatorship for an aging relative or are administering the trust of a loved one, I take the time to understand your specific family situation and what your concerns are. Then I draft every document myself to ensure you get exactly what you need.

When you leave my office you will be confident that your loved ones are well taken care of.

If you’ve got questions about anything regarding estate planning, wills, trusts or trust administration, contact me for a complimentary consultation.

The Nitty Gritty Details:

I am a San Diego native since 1972 and attended the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. I graduated in the top fifth of my law school class with several honors, and was also a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Board. After working in-house for a public international automotive technology firm and at a top-rated Northern California business law firm I returned to San Diego in 2004 to establish my own practice.

My estate planning practice focuses on asset protection, tax minimization and wealth transfer planning. I develop individualized family office plans designed around “Active Adaptation” – built-in flexibility allows for wealth management and transfer that can react to changing circumstances. As outside general counsel and as personal attorney, I focus on preemptive problem solving; anticipating potential problems is the key to preventing them.

My office is in Del Mar and I live in Carlsbad with my wife and son. My hair and eyes are brown. Everything else is subject to change without notice.
